Sewerage Engineer
Location: Great Missdenden
The successful and expanding water team of a major, multi disciplinary consultancy seek a Sewerage Engineer. The position provides Sewerage Engineering Support to the AMP4 Sewerage Networks Capital Programme, and demands hands on feasibility to outline and provide detailed design on various sewerage projects; be lead designer on small projects and be capable of working on their own initiative, with minimal support. Whilst home office will be Great Missenden it is envisaged that the work will involve secondment to other Water teams in the South and South East.
A Civil Engineering Degree is essential for the position, whilst Chartered Engineer and Member of a relevant institution (eg MICE, MCIWEM), or working towards Chartered status is also desireable.
Other essentials are 3 years post grad experience, at least one within the Water Industry, preferably with a consultant. Previous general experience in the hydraulic and sewerage design using the latest industry standards. Broad understanding of drainage area planning, sewerage modelling and environmental water qualitiy standard schemes from feasibility to detailed design. Whilst previous similar experience working on AMP3 sewerage implementation projects and in the design and construction of combined sewer overflows and assocaited storage facilities is desireable.
